Profile & Résumé

Born and raised in Karlskrona, Sweden, I found myself intrigued by “technology” at a very early age. Over the years, this curiosity veered more and more into the field of computers, and in elementary school, me and a small group of friends soon came to discover the wonders of HTML.

Entering high-school, the path had since long been laid out. Following that path, I enrolled at the NTI high-school in Karlskrona, studying programming fundamentals combined with some electronics, math and physics.

Heeding the call of Japanese culture, I spent a year as a Rotary exchange student at the Morioka Ichiritsu high-school in Morioka, Iwate. Already somewhat fluent in the language on arriving, the main challenge of that year was learning japanese writing. During that year, I passed a simpler language proficiency certification.

Having met some interesting people in Japan, I returned once more before graduating from NTI, practicing for five weeks at a Morioka-based company, “Japan Flower Programming.” Amongst other tings (like cleaning the office every morning), I was tasked with learning some basic Erlang programming, a language I found very interesting and definitely want to dive deeper into in the future.

Graduating from NTI, me and a friend decided to try our luck in the real world for a change, and created a small company called Tenzui Software. After finishing naught but a few projects, however, an out-of-the-blue phone call sent both him and me into the world of Search Engine Optimization.

Hired by a startup company, I spent a year and a half working not only with in-house software development, but also with SEO and SEM (Search Engine Marketing). The many aspects of the SEO-business, with statistical analysis and implementation of various strategies is quite interesting, but true to the unflattering rumors, it’s not difficult to find the ugly side, and it’s important to avoid being mistakenly associated with it.

Abandoning the winter cold of Sweden, 2011 began with a move to warmer frontiers; Mexico. The upcoming years I will spend studying Computer Science at the UABC in Ensenada, Baja California.
